Sun, Sea, and Conch

We decided to change it up a bit for our 10th anniversary with a little island adventure! We spent six glorious days soaking up the sun in the Turks and Caicos. Kevin picked out a wonderful little resort right on Grace Bay.
Most of our days followed a pattern – get up, make breakfast in our room, float around in the pool right outside our front door, walk down to the beach and bob around in the sea, shuffle back to our room for a shower, eat conch fritters, nap, and dinner.
We ate a lot of conch fritters. Seriously. Dozens.
When we weren’t floating, sunning, or eating conch fritters, we explored the island, went on a snorkeling excursion, and attended the weekly island fish fry (where I had the best smoky grilled lobster). I took in a couple of yoga classes, and we ate at some of the best little restaurants on the island.
Then we built a sand castle, had one last fantastic meal, and flew home to scrape the ice and snow off of the car.
